Kitchen Cabinet Painting in Atlanta, GA

Atlanta’s intown neighborhoods — Buckhead, Brookhaven, Virginia-Highland, Midtown — have some of the oldest cabinet boxes we work on. Many of the bungalow and craftsman-style homes built from the 1920s through the 1940s still have their original face-frame cabinets, sometimes painted over multiple times already, sometimes still bare wood that’s never been touched. Those need careful scuff-sanding, sometimes stripping, and a bonding primer before any new color goes on, because you’re painting over decades of previous finishes, not a factory stain.

In the condo and townhome buildings around Midtown, Buckhead, and Brookhaven, it’s the opposite problem: newer, smaller kitchens with flat-panel or melamine-faced cabinets that don’t hold paint the way solid wood does. Those need a different primer built to bond to a slick factory laminate. Either way, we look at what we’re actually painting before quoting a price, and we work around building access and any scheduling rules that come with a condo job.
